RSI Speaker Series: Women and Brain Health

The Rehabilitation Sciences Institute (RSI) at University of Toronto is organizing its inaugural Speaker Series where leading researchers, graduate students, clinicians, and/or individuals from the community with lived experience are invited to discuss an array of topics relevant to rehabilitation, public health, and medicine.

In celebration of International Women's Day & Brain Week, our first event on Monday, March 25th at 11AM will focus on Women and Brain Health featuring Dr. Gillian Einstein, a distinguished U of T professor and researcher studying role of sex and gender in brain health & aging; as well as two RSI alumna who wear 2 hats as clinicians and researchers: Melissa Biscardi, who will be addressing the link between brain injury and women's reproductive health; and Reema Shafi who will reveal ways in which the female brain becomes uniquely vulnerable following concussion.
